About Me
|
| |
Hello! I love teaching and I love teaching fifth graders! This will be my 4th year teaching 5th grade. Prior I team-taught second grade at Chamiza and taught oral English to 3-8 year olds and 6th grade at a school in Valencia, Spain.
I am a life-long learner! I am especially passionate about learning and teaching Social Studies. I am currently in a grant which focuses on professional development in incorporating writing and primary sources in this content area. As part of this grant I will be traveling to Washington D.C. this summer and to New York City the next!
I am originally from Valencia, Spain. I came to the U.S. in the 3rd grade. I lived in the Chicago area for 8 years.
I graduated with my Bachelor's in Communication and Spanish from U.N.M.cum laude. I was recruited by Walgreens and was a store manager for 4 years. I received my Master of Arts in Elementary Education in 2007.
